Pioneering Opportunity:

A Pioneer Ministry for Young Families and Communities in the Waterside, Londonderry

The Diocese of Derry and Raphoe is seeking to recruit a pioneer minister to establish and lead the exciting Waterside Church Plant in Londonderry, reaching out to young families with little or no connection with church. The Church Plant is a joint initiative by Glendermott Parish Church and All Saints’ Clooney, funded by the Pioneer Ministry.

This full-time role will be funded for five years initially (including six-month probationary period) and will incorporate three years’ training to obtain the C.o.I. Pioneer Ministry Certificate.

We are looking for someone with:

A strong and active Christian faith;
A passion for evangelism and nurturing disciples;
Experience in outreach, mission or pioneering ministry;
Creativity and initiative in developing new ways of sharing the Gospel;
Effective relationship-building and communication skills;
The ability to identify, equip and encourage others in their faith and build a team ministry;
Resilience, adaptability and the ability to work independently as well as
collaboratively;
A desire to engage with young adults, families and the wider community;
A commitment to prayer and discerning God’s leading in mission.
